Rescue Herb (Solenostemon monostachyus)

 Rescue Herb, Solenostemon monostachyus is a member of the Lamiaceae family and is an important herb that is widespread in West and Central Africa where it occurs as an annual. It is slightly succulent, aromatic and grows up to around 40 inches tall. Easy to grow member of the mint family with thick succulent-like ridged stems and aromatic leaves.

This medicinal herb is used by African herbalists to assist with panic attacks and feelings of anxiety. It has a calming effect. It reportedly has anticonvulsant activity. 

Hardy in USDA zones 11+, full sun. Move to indoors during winter in colder zones.

Plants are grown and shipped in 2" plugs. Please transplant the plug into a container of soil and water immediately upon arrival.

NOTE: Live plants are shipped ONLY on Tuesday of each week. If your order is received by Sunday, it will ship out on the following Tuesday. We close rooting season in the colder months of November through February. Our last orders for the season need to be received by October 15.
