CBDA and CBGA: A Potential COVID Killer?

CBDA and CBGA: A Potential COVID Killer?

Fortunately, after 2 long years, it seems that we are finally turning the corner of the COVID-19 pandemic. People from all walks of life are finally starting to socialize again, and getting to see each other's faces for the first time in what seems like forever. However, it is still important to take the proper precautions to protect yourself and others from harm's way.

That’s why we have decided to use the power of plants to create a product with raw cannabinoids that can have new wellness benefits. Keep reading to find out what cannabinoids can do to help keep you healthy .

Preventing COVID with Cannabinoids

An exciting new study conducted by researchers at Oregon State University has shown that consuming cannabinoids can block multiple COVID-19 variants from binding to your cells. Now before you get too excited and start buying all of our products (which you still should do), there is a slight catch. The cannabinoids that have shown to be effective in preventing COVID-19 are “raw cannabinoids”, such as CBDa and CBGa. You may have heard of CBD and CBG, but CBDa and CBGa are a little different in regards to their molecular structure and effects. Follow along to learn more about these differences.

What is CBDa and CBGa?

CBDa and CBGa are raw cannabinoids that are produced by the cannabis plant. Raw cannabinoids are any cannabinoid that has a carboxylic acid still attached to its molecular structure. Every cannabinoid produced by the cannabis plant has a carboxylic acid bond attached.

What this means is that the cannabinoids that you are most familiar with, such as CBD, CBG, and THC, are decarboxylated. To decarboxylate a cannabinoid, you have to activate it with heat, which is most commonly done through smoking or vaping.

Since the study found that the cannabinoids that are most effective in preventing COVID-19 are the raw cannabinoids, typical smokable products are not effective, as they decarboxylate the cannabinoids. That is why we have formulated a CBDa, CBGa, and CBCa capsule to implement into your daily routine.

The bottles come in a 30 count for a standard month's amount, and the pills are 0.5 g each. The cannabinoid breakdown per capsule is as follows:

  • 22 mg CBDa
  • 17 mg CBGa
  • 2 mg CBCa
