The Hemp Mine, LLC partners with Adivina Nurseries

FAIR PLAY, South Carolina / April 15, 2020 / – The Hemp Mine, LLC, a vertically integrated hemp company that focuses on breeding and producing quality hemp genetics along with consumer hemp products is announcing today its partnership with Adivina Nurseries.

“Time is our most precious and limited resource. Our ability to acknowledge that fact and use the time we have to create innovative and sustainable products that enable data driven solutions to the hemp market is just step one. At The Hemp Mine we pride ourselves in diligently seeking and choosing credible partners who not only share our perspectives but, in some cases, can compellingly challenge them. Together, The Hemp Mine and Adivina Nurseries will use our time to continue to streamline the definition of “quality” hemp genetics.

Travis Higginbotham, Owner & VP – Sales, BizDev.

“Source material (the genetics) matters. What you plant will determine your yields and ultimately your cost/lb. You can never eliminate risk. But you can identify and mitigate risk. Seed borne diseases that when planted are now in the soil, which can affect future crop cycles for years. Old, diseased clones will also lead to devastating losses. Tissue culture is a way to clean-up and rejuvenate genetics. These “elite” genetics are now free of disease and stresses caused by pests and other environmental stresses.  If I were betting the farm on the 2020 season, I would plant elite stock, or clones & seed generated from elite stock.”

--Hope Jones, PhD, Founder and CEO – Adivina Nurseries, LLC

Partnership

The Hemp Mine, LLC has licensed two of their hemp cultivars (Southern Cat Daddy & Janet’s G) to Adivina Nurseries for the 2020 season planning to license additional cultivars for the upcoming 2021 season. This license will enable a partnership where Adivina and The Hemp Mine will conduct joint research and work together through joint distribution and marketing systems. Adivina will be initiating and storing all of The Hemp Mine’s current commercial genetic offerings as tissue culture. They will also produce at minimum 50% of their in-house production from the licensed cultivars.

The partnership offers geographical market benefits as well.  The Hemp Mine has a predominant impact in the South, South East, East Coast and North Eastern hemp markets in the US. Adivina Nurseries is located on the West Coast with a focus on the South Western and West Coastal hemp market.

Together The Hemp Mine and Adivina Nurseries believe that the future of cannabinoid production will be heavily influenced by genetic stability, predictability and diversity, specialty genetics that are free of pest and pathogens. Both companies have a passion for proving the science behind every decision made. Together they will be a formidable team at defining what the cannabinoid market has to offer from a breeding and young plant provider perspective moving into 2021.
